Beverage Industry Pain Point
Have you ever seen or used a drink mix packet like Crystal Light? How about a liquid concentrate squirt bottle like Mio?
These packaging systems are very popular because they allow you to create your own custom beverage. However, these packages have problems to contend with. The single serve foil packets are often difficult to tear open, especially by a women with long nails. They end up ripping, spilling and staining hands and clothing.
The squirt bottles spray concentrate into a bottle of water. There is no control over how much concentrate actually comes out of the squeeze bottle. Because of this, squirt bottles are often expensive as consumers, often children, squeeze too much ingredient into their drink thereby realizing a lower number of servings than advertised on the packaging. With both single serve powder packs and the squirt bottles, sanitation is an issue as the consumer is forced to aim the contents into the small opening of a bottle.
The Flava Cap Solution
The Flava Cap is an inexpensive solution to the problems associated with the other delivery systems. The Flava Cap is twisted onto a bottle directly depositing the ingredients contained within its cavity thereby providing the prescribed dose without exposing the consumer to the contents. The Flava Cap is a perfect solution for the mass market, including children and the elderly.
The Flava Cap is a unique delivery system to make a custom beverage. The consumer does not have to carry around a bottle of water with them as Flava Cap will fit on any PET water bottle that the consumer can buy when he or she is ready to create a custom beverage. There are four different thread configurations on the top of a PET water bottle. Flava Cap’s singular design fits all four.
The Flava Cap is sanitary as the ingredients never touch the consumer.
Flava Cap can be used with a refilled bottle of water, thereby reducing the number of PET bottles thrown into landfills.
The Flava Cap will be priced competitively to both premixed and post mixed beverages. For example, a fully loaded Flava Cap will be sold for approximately $0.49 at retail. When using a Flava Cap with water bottles purchased in a case (qty 24) the cost per bottle of water will be approximately $0.13. By combining the two products you can create a custom beverage, like an energy drink, for only $0.62. In addition, the post mix beverage created using a Flava Cap will be of high quality and potency as the ingredients it contains are not activated until the cap is twisted onto the bottle and mixed with water. Pre-mixed beverages are those where the flavor/nutrient ingredients are mixed with the water at the point of manufacture. The potency of the ingredients degrades over time while sitting on a store shelf.
